  1. Hi, I have two questions: 1. does the the individual have to be a registered voter?
My mother is a 68 yo Filipino. When she applied, she was asked to present a voter’s ID. It’s been a looong time since she voted and it was in a different area. She was told that she can only apply for the Senior Citizen’s card at the municipal where she last voted. Is this correct?
    Thanks!

Do I need to be a Filipino citizen to get the senior citizen id?
I will be spending a lot of money and this will help us a lot.

  10. My Kasambahay applied for Senior Citizen’s ID in Manila but she was denied even if meron naman syang billings, barangay clearance, NSO birth certificate and barangay clearance. Their reason is wala syang voters ID kahit pa more than 5 years na sya nakatira sa Manila.

Required ba talaga ang voter’s ID?

    Reply
    • Same case po sa kasambahay namin. Ang siste po, as per Valenzuela City OSCA, sa Comelec muna magpa-register yung Senior Citizen as Voter, only then will they issue OSCA ID. Ironically, they will not accept you if you’re not a Voter.

  23. My father is 96 years old and a resident of Taguig for many years now since i am rhe one caring fir him (he is formerly from Villamor Air Base, Pasay City). His intake is now limited to soft and easy to bite food. So i have to purchase only the soft bread, oatmeal, lugaw and other foods for his nutrient; the bakeshops of my choice are Bread Talk ang Tuos L’ jour where the bread are soft, delicious and nutritious (i think since most are fruit-filled). However, since January 2015, these (and other bakeshops, restaurants along Glorietta and Market, Market (which are near my resident) NO LONGER HONOR Authorization and Senior ID. These establishments REQUIRE me to bring the SENIOR CITIZEN himself. Take note my father is 96, no longer fit to travel, much more walk (i do not own a car) and more succeptible to germs and diseases. I’d like to know if these establishments are right in denying me and my father his rights per the senior citizen’s rules and regulations.

    • I suggest you approach Taguig’s Office of the Senior Citizen for this matter to easily settle the issue. They know the real deal with it and the possible reasons and solutions regarding the establishments mentioned. God bless!
