Chris Tiu, basketball heartthrob, Fil-Chinese young businessman here got the idea when he and his friends were searching about a milk tea business in the country since this type of business doesn’t have too much competitors. Apparently, the group went abroad, all around Asia to find the best milk tea. Until they tasted Happy Lemon in Hong Kong. They knew it was the one.

Tiu’s group was the pioneer of Happy Lemon in the Philippines. Just like any other franchise business, opening your first branch is a tough job. But then, hard work will pay off eventually.

Since their first branch was successful, the opening of HL in the Philippines in 2010 followed more branches. In 2011, Happy Lemon had already four branches. And it seems that Chris Tiu’s group has the exclusive franchise for now. And Happy Lemon branches opened to other provinces like Pampanga, Cagayan and Davao in 2013.
