This article will help you step the milestone you have dreaming of – to get hired and find the most amazing flight attendant jobs and cabin crew jobs available today.

Flight attendant and cabin crew jobs are one of the loveliest careers for Filipinos in the world today because it pays so well and do you just love those sexy stewardess outfits and uniforms? Heh! Who wouldn’t want to be flying and traveling for free everyday to different destinations…exploring South East Asia…London, Paris, Australia, or the USA. Girly pal, it’s an awesome profession indeed!

Perhaps you would enjoy traveling the Emirates once in while or dropping by to India, UAE and the Middle East. Airline Companies Hiring Flight Attendants in the Philippines

I’ve listed the airline companies hiring FAs and cabin crews below with their official websites. Apply to all to have more chance of getting hired. After all there’s no harm in trying.

Requirements to become a flight attendant

Airline companies and flight attendant recruiters have different requirements for their FA and cabin crew applicants. However the lists below are the common qualifications of airline companies recruiting flight attendants in the Philippines.

  • Has completed at least 2 years course in college
  • Preferably single
  • Preferably below 27 years old
  • With very good communication skills in English both oral and written
  • Be at least 5’3’’ in height and weight must be in proportion to their body
  • With a well groomed-professional image
  • Nice set of teeth, catchy smile 🙂
  • With mature, positive attitude, flexibility and pleasing personality

Airline companies here usually schedule a grand recruitment for cabin crew and flight attendant applicants. On that day, the candidates bring CV/resume and wear a specific attire for the screening. Once they liked you, you will have to attend again another day for another interview and orientation.

Usually, recruiters offer flight attendant training course for the qualified candidates to prepare them to emergency situations, inflight services, swimming, and personality development. Qualified cabin crews are required to successfully complete pre-employment physical and practical examination.

Read my Interview with a Filipino Flight Attendant from Cebu Pacific Air in this page to know more about the experiences of applying, interviewing and training.

How much is the salary of flight attendant in the Philippines?

Salary ranges from P40,000 and above per month plus amazing perks and benefits. The compensation and benefits are one of the most rewarding stuff of being a flight attendant especially if the airline company is huge and well known.

Perks in the Philippines are of course different from that of those who work from international airline companies like Japan Airlines or Qatar Airways. I’ve listed the usual benefits and perks from the Flight Attendant and Cabin Crew Jobs Hiring in the Philippines.

Oh well what are you waiting for? Dare and soar higher. Be a flight attendant!

    • most airlines have a strict height requirement. usually 5’2″ or 5’3″ for women. or some, they would prefer to check your qualification through reach tests. (Middle east airlines). So better research on a specific airline prior to applying.

    • You can choose to take any 4 year bachelor of science course if you wish. Taking up a BSFA doesn’t assure you a job as an FA. After all, you will still have to apply to get the opportunity to work with airlines.

  7. Hi! I am a Grade 11 Senior High Student, aspiring to be a Flight attendant someday. I just want to ask a thing or two. It is said that you can be suited for being one (FA), if you are at least done a 2 years course. Does it possible to be qualified if you did take course that is not related to the latter, but done 2 years in college? Second, is it qualified for a flight attendant to have denture? I dont have nice set of teeth in front so maybe I can take having one, but assured that I have a proper posture, not that fluent in speaking in English but believe to improve that. I am good at communicating and socializing on different person who have different attitude. Also, I do have positive viewing of others uniqueness. Am I qualified?

  8. Hi I’am a Grade 12 senior high school student. I just want to ask if it’s necessary to take 2 years courses ? As far as I know some companies do not require a college attainment as long as you are a graduate of high school or a senior high? And also if it’s not I will proceed in taking a BSTM course so I can pass some of the requirements of becoming an FA/ or CAVIN CREW I wish I can apply and enter the PAL company someday ?

I want to become a flight attendant since high school, my sister don’t want me to become a flight attendant because she’s scared for crashing and for what will happen to me. In fact Im scared in height’s, but I tried the ferris wheel and zipline for many times even if i don’t so that I won’t be afraid in heights. I hope I will become part of PAL cabin crew someday

      Reply
      • Hi Raymund and Rowena!

If you think braces are necessary to make your teeth look better, then why not? But more often than not, airline companies would require you to remove your braces if ever you get hired. And i myself am afraid of heights but still work as a cabin crew. and statistically, air travel is still the safest means to go from point a to point b.

Just want to ask if they will still hire someone like me without an experience being an FA? Is there necessary programs or training that I will need to take in order for me to be qualified? Apparently, I don’t have 20/20 vision and don’t have a set of good teeth. But I’m willing to try. Any advise?

My height is currently 5’2, 17 pa po ako. I don’t have a beautiful face, but I am good at English especially in writing pero sa pakikipag communicate personally, nahihirapan pa ako. But I am doing my best, and still studying para mapa’boost yung confidence ko sa pakikipag’usap using English Grammar. Meron po akong cmal;aking confidence especially sa pakikipagharap sa mga tao. I’m good at persuading others. Gusto ko lang po malaman kung ano-ano ang dapat kong gawin to be qualified as FA. Thank you po talaga Ms. Marifel! I found your blog a very helpful one para sa mga nangangarap maging cabin crew. Thankyou po! Godbless always 🙂

    • Hi LJ and Rodelyn!

The requirements to be a cabin crew here in the Philippines are very strict especially when it comes to physical appearance; even a small blemish in your face will not allow you to be a cabin crew.

Since you are still in the grade school/high school level, you may take Tourism and Hospitality Management and specialize this field for you to become a cabin crew. But somehow, some airline companies such as Philippine Airlines accept applicants who did not took up HRM/ Tourism and Hospitality Management. It always depends on the performance and communication skills of an applicant. In order for you to be a cabin crew, always take care of yourself always and your health as well. Have a good management when it comes to healthy lifestyle. Make sure that you have a complete set of teeth, white and shiny so that you can smile to all passengers with a great smile. Having an experience when it comes to customer services is a plus. You must also completed at least second year/sophomore college or equivalent to 75 units or 4 semesters, depending on the qualifications needed by an airline. And also, try to study the background and the environment of the airlines where you want to apply. Do some company research and at least that you could have some knowledge or ideas when applying.

There are 3 major airlines here in the Philippines, namely: Philippine Airlines, the first and longest airline company in Asia, Cebu Pacific Air, largest low-cost carrier airlines in the country, and AirAsia-Zest Philippines- also a low-cost airline carrier- who acquired the Zest Air of Zest-O Corporation. These airline companies have their own training for all aspiring cabin crews to be part of their company. Applicants of AirAsia are being deployed to Malaysia, the headquarters of AirAsia, to train to become a cabin crew, and even flights, accommodation and foods are all paid.

You still have a lot things to accomplish and to improve not just in physical aspect, but also in communicating with people. Being intelligent is not necessary, but showing sincerity and dedication to your job is a must, and you’ll surely to become a cabin crew in the future. Be confident always and show humbleness to everyone, as all cabin crews show their heartwarming affection to all.

      Good luck ladies!

  27. Is it expensive pursuing FA? I always hear a lot of humor saying that pursuing FA is expensive and that it would really cost me big amount. I always pray that someday mom could get a job where she can afford my dreamed course. It sucks to be in line of poverty. This was my only dream since I was grade 2. Nothing else but to become FA.

    Reply
    • Hi! Actually being an FA is not expensive. However it takes a lot of time. My cousin is a flight attendtand from PAL it takes up to 7 months or even a year to receive a call from them every interview. I think what you should prepare for is the money for transpo since when you passed the interview you’re advice to travel here and there then go back so you need to prapare for your cab expenses and food. What i advice is you apply for a job like a callcenter since you will be trained there for for the skills needed as an FA. One of its is the customerservice skills besides being trained that jon pays bigger too than other jobs. Hoped these helps you out. Email me if you have a question

The requirements to be an FA here are very strict to be a cabin crew. Due to some imperfections of your physical aspect, there is a huge chance that you won’t be able to be a flight attendant due to your color blindness. Unless, you can pass their requirement, then it must be a blessing to you. And also, please make sure that once you’re done in college, that your teeth are all set, or else, you will not be accepted or hired to be a cabin crew.

    • If you are fluent in japanese like me you must take JLPT first or what we called “Japan language proficiency test.” It’s a certification/proof/ recognition or whatever you call it (lol) that you are indeed a legit japanese speaker or can understand japanese. It depends on your level N1 is the highest meaning it’s in the native level, N5 is the lowest for conversational japanese. For your last question dear, having a skill to converse in another language is 95% plus and assurance that you can be part of an international cabin crew but of course you must also meet the airline’s qualifications too. :))

  48. Hi, just want to get some inputs from your blog.

My daughter was just hired as a flight attendant here in the middle east. The airline who hired her sent her back to the Philippines to process her working visa thru an agency in Manila. (My daughter came here on a visit visa)

The placement agency which she was referred to was asking for an ATO certificate. My question is, is she covered with this requirement even if she will be working overseas? As far as I know the airlines who hired her will be the one conducting the training here in the middle east.

Hope to hear from you soon.

the best technique for me is to be prepared, meet the general requirements (documents needed, height, weight, business attire and make-up and hair requirements) and most of all keep my cool during the day of interview, i do that by stopping my self on comparing myself to other candidates and concentrating on my preparations instead.

If you have smooth nice skin and you meet all the rest requirements, I think you’ll good to go. After all, Filipinos are morena. IMO, morenas are more appealing. If they are really into white skin, don’t worry girl, bigger international airlines are very much open for you 🙂

      at least 5’3” in height
      with weight proportion to height
clear complexion, good eyesight and with catchy smile

But i doesnt mean you really have to meet everything. tell you honestly They are after of your personality and Looks is just secondary . Every airline have their own standards. Why not try your luck you might be next flight attendant onboard. Just present yourself well , be confident .

-18 is the legal age for you to work.
-Vision does’t have to be perfect as long as you can work efficiently. Contct lenses is allowed .
-height maybe 5’4 up . ( 5’3″ maybe it depend)

And ipams should be in malate . If im not wrong . You guys can always check.

Do you think I need to have more “bilugin” kind of body para makapasa? or sa Cebu Pac lang yun? Also, sa shape ng mukha, meron bang specific na shape ng mukha silang hinahanap? Coz mine is like more oval and I have malapad na noo (Like Tyra Banks face shape). Hindi narin ako 20/20 vision ngayon, but I think mako-correct pa. Any advice?

    • Visit the official websites of international airlines she wants to apply. I also suggest apply at IPAMS agency in Makati. They are the agency who hires cabin crews and flight attendants for airlines like Saudi Air, Qatar and the like

  107. Hi! I’m only 16 & I’m just about to enter college. I’m still undecided if I should take tourism since I have countless scars all over my body. Ahhhh I’m confused because I might end up being jobless if I won’t be accepted because of these scars. But I seriously can’t imagine myself doing anything else rather than serving people in the sky. College is just a month away and I’m still confused ahhhh. Do they really check out and make a big deal out of scars? Thank you so muuuuuuuuuch! 🙂

    • A scar is really ugly. It can kill confidence and screw dreams. I too have scars over my knees not to mention the hyperpigmentation these may have caused. I once dreamt of becoming a flight attendant to travel the world but I quit because I can’t wear mini skirts. I am now considering pnp but I can’t either because it is embarassing to wear shorts during trainings. Let us try air stocking spray to temporarily hide our imperfections. We can visit Belo sometime in the future after earning enough money. Good luck! I hope you have chosen your heart’s desire. 🙂

  110. Hi!! I would like to confirm if it’s true that some airlines require their apllicant to have 20/20 vision ? I just found out 2 mos ago that I have astigmatism so I wear corrective glasses/ lense all the time. I really want to be a Flight Attendant but I’m concerned that my poor eyesight might be a hindrance. Oh and BTW kudos to you for a very informative blog..:)

  112. Good Afternoon.

I want to be a Flight Attendant but my problem is I don’t have a complete set of teeth. Do i still qualified for that? Is it necessary that you must be a Tourism graduate? I’m 5’3 by the way.

    • Not necessarily a Tourism graduate and not necessarily complete set of teeth. If your smile is amazing, girl you have a chance. Just apply to companies hiring flight attendants / cabin crew to know if you will be accepted. Best of luck! 🙂

  113. Hi! I just found your blog very helpful and your comments are quite encouraging. My dream is to be a flight attendant but I’m afraid I don’t have a perfect set of teeth. Do they have specific standard in that area? Sorry if it sound silly but my confidence in the matter really lies there. Hope to hear from you. God Bless! 😀

  114. Im 17 and a communications student. I’m still looking into being a Flight attendant but i hear they require perfect set of teeth. I already lost 4 teeth but right now i have braces. I’m 5″6. Do i still have a chance? PLEASE REPLY. Thank you so much.

    • I think complete set of teeth means, no “bungi.” Apply and smile. Who cares if you have braces, if you are good looking and smart, maybe they would like you and hire you. Braces can be removed anyway 🙂 Best of luck, beautiful!

    • Right now airlines are getting strict so they require college grads because a flight attendant apparently is now a professional career
