My grandma was so happy to receive P148,000 pension benefits from PVAO (Philippine Veterans Affairs Office) this month October 2013. I know many Filipino veterans will be so happy right now especially this Christmas season. PVAO said there are about 18,000 living World War II veterans who will receive their Total Administrative Disability pension arrears for the years 1994-2002. It’s a lot of cash.
So if you found out a big amount of money deposited on your grandma’s or grandpa’s or mom’s or dad’s PVAO pension account, don’t wonder anymore. It’s their TAD arrears and they so deserve this pension benefit. Their monthly veterans pension is not included on the TAD and they will still receive it. These TAD arrears payments are different from each veteran. TAD of my grandma’s friend was 90,000 while hers has reached 148,000. Be thankful coz our president loves our vets. Some have received more according to the PVAO’s website.
I want to thank President Noynoy Aquino for approving this fund. I can imagine our dear senior veterans’ glossy eyes right now because of joy and happiness.
If you are a daughter/son or granddaughter/grandson of a Filipino veteran, assist them and help them in claiming and withdrawing this big amount of cash. Don’t deal with fixers. Always be careful in going to any bank. I know their PVAO passbook accounts are under Landbank so only transact to Landbank employees.

as of now my father is at the office of PVAO. nagmessage daw cla sa kanya last week na pumunta na sa manila para iclaim ung benefits nya. nung nasa manila na sila araw araw silang bumabalik ng office ng PVAO pero 1 week na na ganun pero wala di daw sila inaasikaso ng mag kasama nya. tapos sabihan na sila na bumalik na lang daw sila next year? bakit ganun? after 1 week na nandun sila at pabalik balik sa office ganun ang sasabihin ng office na next year na? sayang gastos nila ngpunta at inutang pa nila yun!

Good am sir. My father, Gerardo Tasa Ilagan, was a veteran of WWII. He was born on October 3, 1924 and he had his 70th birthday last October 3 1994. He passed away last January 18, 1995. He has not received any benefit while he was alive. I have read from the PVAO website that the veteran and any of his unmarried dependent is qualified for the TAD and I have an elder brother (56 Years old) who is mentally deficient. Will my mother, his surviving spouse, and elder brother be qualified to avail of the TAD benefits? If so, how can we go about the process of obtaining it.
I think your mother (never remarried) could be qualified. I suggest you assist your mom directly to PVAO in Manila and bring your father’s vet documents and your mother’s ID and marriage certificate. I hope your brother would be entitled too

Start by talking to your step father and demand about your mom’s rights or ask a lawyer for any legal move if your step father didn’t cooperate

My mother was a widower of veteran , my father was a world war II veteran and eligible for Tad coz my father had a military service record during world war II ,had a record wounded in gun shoot wound until now my mom was so sad that she did not accept the benefit of my father sometime we think to asked help for ms. Your mom is a vet’s survivor but the TAD mentioned was for living veterans. Please ask PVAO about it
