What is BDO Easy Redemption Plan?

BDO Easy Redemption Plan (ERP) is a type of UITF (Unit Investment Trust Fund) wherein you are allowed to receive regular cash pay-outs from your UITF automatically. These cash earnings will be automatically be credited to your bank account once linked to your Easy Redemption Plan UITF application.

The available UITF for BDO ERP as of now is BDO Peso Money Market Fund.

Sample Investment for Easy Redemption Plan UITF

For example, you have a 1 million BDO Peso Money Market Fund, and you want to use this trust fund to give monthly allowance for your son, but you don’t want to withdraw or redeem all of your units in your UITF. You want your remaining UITF to be earning at the same time. If you want something like this, then BDO ERP is for you.

The minimum cash out for BDO Easy Redemption Plan is P1,000.

So if you have 1 million, for example, and you want to redeem 20,000 monthly (every 10th of the month) from your Peso Money Market Fund UITF and you want this 20,000 to be credited to your chosen savings account, you can do this by opening BDO Easy Redemption Plan.

What will happen if the remaining UITF is not enough for the monthly payout?

I know you wonder what will happen if there is no more cash equivalent remaining in your UITF or what will happen when the remaining amount in your ERP falls below the designated payout?

BDO will automatically unsubscribe you from the ERP. If any proceeds are remaining on your account, the units will be redeemed and credited back to your assigned current or savings account.

    • Hi, BDO ERP (Easy Redemption Plan) UITF is automatically redeemed to your BDO linked account. Just choose which BDO account you want the money to be credited, you’re good. If it’s a regular UITF, you can request redemption via online banking, too. Cheers!

    • Yes, your ERP is like a savings account, anything you withdraw/redeem monthly, will be debited from your account. What will remain will be invested on Money Market Fund. If you are confused, make sure you learn about Money Market Fund first.
