How to Buy Amazon Products in the Philippines

Easy and cheap ways on how to buy and ship Amazon products in the Philippines. Since there is no Amazon online shopping store yet in our country, you can still buy Amazon products and use shipping options in the Philippines.

Many products in Amazon offer free shipping and delivery services however once you checkout, it won’t continue and you would receive a message like “this product is not available to ship in the Philippines” and you get frustrated because you really want that gadget or product and you cannot buy it anywhere in the Phil. Worry no more because now you can buy anything using Amazon like I did recently.

I recently bought a Polaroid Waterproof Action Camera from Amazon USA. Since the product was not eligible to ship here, I tried to search it on eBay.com.ph too but the shipping cost was freaking expensive like 4000 pesos. Whoa! My camera costs only around P8000 and if I would buy it from eBay, it would cost me like 12000 or more.

So I searched for more ways. Luckily, I found out about a service from Johnny Air Cargo a.k.a. JAC that is called Johnny Air Plus Online Shopping Partner.

Of course I have checked and searched about their company and delivery service and fortunately they are legit. Actually they have branches all over New York, New Jersey, Los Angeles and San Francisco, California and apparently OFWs in the America are using their service for Balikbayan Box and other cargo services.

Yeah they have offices in the East Coast and West Coast. So if you want to do shopping in Amazon or any other store in the US like Kmart, Sears, Timberland, Ralph Lauren and the like, you can safely use their shipping service.

How to buy Amazon Products and Ship them in the Philippines:

  • Use an Online Shipping Partner like Johnny Air Plus.
  • Register your account at Johnny Air Plus official website. As for me, I emailed them and they sent me some forms I filled out and submitted back. You need to submit Client Profile Form and 2 valid IDs. They will also send you the details on how to use their shipping service to assist you more.
  • Buy your desired products on Amazon and use Johnny Air Plus shipping address. As for me, I used their address in LA since it’s much closer. The correct address will be sent by JAC Plus employee. If you don’t know it, email them.
  • JAC Plus will ship your products to the Philippines for you. Choose where you want to pick them up (SM Megamall, JAC Plus Makati, SM Cebu, JAC Plus Davao) or just have them delivered in your Manila address.
  • Email your tracking number to JAC Plus for easy monitoring.
  • An SMS message will be sent to you once your package has arrived and ready for pick up.
  • Pay the necessary fees. As for me, it was only P947 because first time customers could get discount for handling fees.

That is so cheap compared to using Fedex or any other shipping service which will cost you around P3000 delivery charge.

I loved their fast and convenient delivery service. I got my package in a week. Honestly, I would love to use their service again soon.

What about you, have you shopped using Amazon and shipped in the Philippines? Leave your comments darlings so we can all share useful info.

  2. Hello po Ma’am, I’m thinking of ordering a DVD concert on Amazon because of this article or yours. I just don’t understand this “ELIGIBLE FOR SHIPPING TO THE PHILIPPINES” indicated on the post of Amazon about the DVD. Will they send the item directly to me? or do i still need JAC to send it for me here in PH? please do help me for a first timer in online shopping. Thanks in advance.

    • Hi, if the item is not eligible for shipping to the Philippines, means the seller doesn’t currently ship to the Philippines. So you need a service such as JAC for the package to be delivered to you.

  3. BEWARE JAC shipping charges: Just remember to tell the Amazon seller and JAC to minimize/ consolidate the package so that you won’t be charged way lot more than you have to. I had an experience where I bought a laptop at Amazon and when I was about to pick up the item at SM Megamall, JAC at the last minute texted me that the shipping cost has doubled from the original shipping fee. When I got to Megamall I saw that aside from the original box of the laptop they (Seller or JAC) placed it in a bigger box stuffed with a bunch of bubble wrap which is too much in my opinion. The original box was well packaged/protected already. Hope this helps. ?

  5. Nice to stumble upon this article. It will be my first time purchasing online, if ever.

I’m planning on buying a mtb helmet on ebay. If i purchase the helmet from weshop.ph, the total cost is P4,546 (P2,580 item price, P1,497 intl shipping fee, weshop service fee P258, then another P211 upon checkout for the payment method by Dragonpay). I don’t know tho if there will still be more fees.

If i buy the same item directly from ebay, it’ll be $50 for the item, $20 intl shipping fee, for a total of $70. If i use JAC, mae-eliminate na yung $20 intl shipping fee, AM I CORRECT? And i’d just be paying JAC instead for their service? If that’s the case, cheaper nga, coz even if JAC charges a little above P1000, that’s less than P4K still for the helmet. Faster delivery pa coz u said it arrived in a week.

And i just read a 2013 article from Butch Dalisay, tips for ebay newbie(link below). Gumagamit rin pla sya ng services ng JAC. This reassures me more na safe nga at pwede pagkatiwalaan ang JAC.
HUGE thanks for this, Ms. Fehl Dungo.

    • Here’s how it’s gonna be:

      1. Item cost
      2. Shipping fee of item from POS to NY JAC office
      3. Shipping fee (JAC)

If the item is free shipping (anywhere in the US) that’s good. You just have the JAC fees to take care of. Normally its $6.00/lb or in excess of. The price per lb varies depending on the typeof item. Usually higher for electronics.

  7. Try to check galleon.ph. i always order amazon items on their website. less hassle they had door to door service. and they offer cash on delivery.

    Reply
    • Galleon.ph is way overpriced Compared to using JAC… I’ve been using JAC sin ’04 and chanced upon Galleon. After receiving their quotation, it’s almost 3x what I would pay for compared to JAC.

  8. I have done this probably around 2x, used Johnny Air. first time probably 7 years ago and 2nd time probably 4 years ago.

Best way to do it is have the Amazon items delivered to a friend or relatives address in the US and ask a favor from friend/or relative to consolidate all items, destroy irrelevant packaging and put all your items in a box, ship the box to the local US office of JAC. JAC will then deliver that box to their Philippines office.

    Consolidation is the problem.

I don’t know if they have offered a service for this. I haven’t ordered anything again in recent years from Amazon.

    Reply
    • JAC will gladly consolidate items for you. You can have your items shipped directly to JAC and just let them know to consolidate it. Provide them the tracking numbers so they can easily monitor it.

  9. hello ptulong nmn kung pano bumili sa amazon blak ko kc bumili din ask ko lng mga terms at my praan ba pra mkatipid s shipping fee pra mkamura ty.

    Reply
    • Beware Johnny Air. They promise to consolidate items. Whether the do or not seems to depend upon who receives your Amazon order, whether they are sufficiently mindful or trained to ask if the office is waiting on other orders and if the office has communication protocols that inform staff of how to keep their commitments to customers. This was my experience of the NY office.

The real problem with Johnny Air is pinning them down on what you will be charged prior to using their service. The have, at their sole descretion, the right to charge you based on volume weight- whichever is higher, according to their materials. This should be of significant concern if the item being shipped is either heavy or bulky.

I was quoted a price for items that were 100% heavier than the item I had shipped and dimensionally larger. Yet my cost for the item I had shipped (again 50% lighter and less in size) was more. The item was shipped without consultation with me, detailing my charges would be higher than what I was quoted and why. In other words I had no opportunity to return the item to Amazon (which is permitted by them).

Imagine my surprise. When I asked why, I was told by the Davao office that the volume weight fluctuates, depending upon their costs. And they are not obligated to inform you of the cost changes in advance.

      Johnny Air, BEWARE

      Reply
      • Couriers charge 2 ways, either by actual weight or volumetric weight whichever is higher. Had been using the NY JAC office since 04 with no problems.

  10. how many days was your transaction with JAC? from the time you purchased your item to them delivering it here in their ph-based office

    Reply
    • I normally get it within a week… sometimes less, depends on our local customs. I pivk it up at the megamall branch.
I chose to do business with the NY office (as opposed to the one in Ca) because they ship out more often (like 4x a week I believe) in NY.
Right now, I’m still waiting for one more package to arrive at their NY office before I have everything shipped here. Paying for the shipping fees online is cheaper compared to having it COD at megamall… like 10% more I believe..

My question is, is the Estimate Shipping Cost calculator accurate? Cause if it is, I think I would save more by buying from Local Resellers. Thanks! 🙂

    • If I may reply – JAC receives packages from any merchant. You can go ahead and purchase from any online store and have it shipped to JAC. I use the JAC office in Woodside New York. They send out packages 4x/week. Been using JAC since 2004… no glitches whatsoever. Great service as always.

You have an option to pick-up the parcel from Buendia or Megamall. You can pay for the shipping directly to JAC in the US or pay it here once you claim it. There will be an extra 5% on the shipping cost when you pay it here. JAC will text text you when your package is available for pick-up.

There’s also an option to have it sent door to door w/ an additional fee on top.

I just ordered 3 items a few days ago, all from ebay. : )

  21. I have used JAC way back 2004 when I do purchases on eBay. Very reliable and reasonably priced. Good to see they branched out into this. Before, I used to send correspondence via email thru Ms. Annalyn Diego in their NY office. It was faster there at that time, they ship out like 4x / week from the NY office compared to the one in California. Don’t know how it is now. I would highly recommend their services.

        • Marse,

JAC had this service before, dont know if they still have it. You have to go to one of their outlets and do the purchase there online and pay them outright in cash and they’ll take care of the shipment. This was before the advent of debit cards & paypal in the Philippines. Check with them if they still do. 🙂
