How to Verify TIN Online from the BIR
I lost and misplaced a copy of my TIN recently, and I needed it for banking purposes. I did not memorize it, and I knew I have forgotten to keep another note of it. I searched about how to verify, check, and recover lost TIN online and was brought to the BIR TIN Verification System website link. Unfortunately, retrieving TIN online of that link is a dead link, not yet working or apparently not yet in service.
Take note that we are only allowed ONE (1) TIN for life. The BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) in the Philippines strictly forbids having more than one TIN by taxpayers. If you forgot or lost your tax ID number, you must not get or register a new TIN to avoid major problems on your personal and business profile. Instead, you must recover and verify your TIN from the BIR.
